Russell S. Fillmore, OD
Being an Ohio life-long resident, growing up in Cuyahoga Falls and moving to Columbus Ohio to attend Ohio State University, Dr. Fillmore is a true Buckeye.
Dr. Fillmore attended The Ohio State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Physiological Optics and a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1990. During his training, he also served an externship at the Veteran's Administration Hospital Eye Clinic in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Joining Crystal Eyes in 1996 as clinic director, Dr. Fillmore achieved a life-long dream of becoming the owner and chief of staff in 2005 when he bought Crystal Eyes Optical and transformed it into Crystal Eyes Vision Center.
Dr. Fillmore travels extensively, and has attended eye conferences around the world. The experiences, interactions and education acquired from these travels, as well as an ongoing commitment to eye health and eyewear fashion, which has made the profession of Optometry both a passion and a pleasure.
Dr. Fillmore lives in a "tiny home" in the Victorian Village neighborhood of Columbus, and has two grown children, Miles and Harrison. In his leisure time, you might find Dr. Fillmore singing karaoke (pretty good singer, actually!). The remainder of his free time is spent travelling, running half marathons, singing some more, and pursuing a passion for amateur photography.
