Doctor of Optometry Russell Fillmore

Meet Your Doctors

Russell S. Fillmore, OD
Dr. Fillmore has been the staff Optometrist/ Chief of Clinical Staff at Crystal Eyes since 1997. In 2005, he became the sole owner of Crystal Eyes Vision Center.

Dr. Fillmore grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1990 with a B.A. of Physiological Optics and a Doctorate of Optometry.

Dr. Fillmore practices full-scope, medical Optometry. This approach incorporates the entire visual system and the interaction of the whole-body health of his patients. He has a special interest in managing eye health with your primary care physician.

Dr. Fillmore has travelled extensively, attending eye conferences all around the US and the world. His love of travel and education allows him to bring new and exciting information and technology to his patients.

Dr. Fillmore is married and has two sons. He enjoys good music, excellent food and great conversation.

Doctor of Optometry Nathan Atterholt

Nathan Atterholt, OD, MS
Dr. Atterholt joined Crystal Eyes Vision Center in 2011 after graduation from the Ohio State University College of Optometry. He received his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) and his Master’s of Science (M.S.) degrees June 2011. While at OSU, he performed a research project on the visual tracking ability of athletes to follow a pitched baseball.

Dr. Atterholt performed internships at the Columbus Veterans Affairs hospital, Revision Eye and Laser Center, and Eye Specialists of Circleville. He is a member of the American and Ohio Optometric Associations. He provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics. His special interests include the management of diabetic eye disease and glaucoma along with fitting contact lenses.

Dr. Atterholt and his wife Amy are both graduates of nearby Hillsdale High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Biology from the College of Wooster in 2003. He and Amy reside in Jeromesville where they are both members of the Lions Club. His hobbies include golf, woodworking, farming, cutting firewood, and Notre Dame football.
